White Crane Hard and Soft Qigong

Postby FireDragon2576 » Mon Sep 19, 2011 10:57 am

Hello,

I have a few questions regarding White Crane Qigong. I have both the book and dvd "The Essence of Shaolin White Crane". I am starting to train the Qigong contained in them and have a few questions.

Should I start and do the Fist Hard, Palm Hard and finish with the Soft?

Should I only do the Fist Hard followed by the Soft for a period of time?

Should I alternate, ie. Monday Fist Hard followed by Soft, then Tuesday Palm Hard followed by Soft?

I do not want to over-train and cause any imbalances or problems/injuries.
I also do not want to undertrain.

I have been studying Martial arts for 29 years now, 13 of which has been devoted to Kung Fu (Pak Hok Pai - White Crane).

Thank you in advance for any help and advice.

What kind and level of training and teaching methodology did you have?
It seems that your teacher should have prepared you in various aspects that would help in later structured training.
