Hello. I am working with the book Qigong Empowerment, which I have heard is one of the best and most basic books on qigong in English. Almost all of the techniques are short, and call for the exponent to be standing (relaxed, feet shoulder-width apart), sitting in a straight-backed chair (hands on one's knees), or lying on one's back. My question is this: One of the reasons I practice qigong is because I have mild scoliosis, so my pelvis is unstable, and so I really cannot, for all practical purposes, sit. Would anyone care to comment on how much it would probably affect things if I practice the ones that are supposed to be done sitting down standing up instead? Thank you!
