How safe is receiving Qi from Sifu???

Postby Beebs35 » Fri May 11, 2012 4:17 am

I am wondering how safe is it to receive Qi from a Sifu.
During the transmission and for a day or so, feel stronger
and healthier, but then, when I stop completely, all the symptoms
return... does this means its temporary and there is no true healing
taking place?

The other issue, is how safe is it to receive Qi from someone else?
Could he transmit toxic Qi from others or his own?

The reason I ask, is that once, he was jetlagged, wired, and
could not sleep, after the Qi transmission, I suffered the same!!!!

I also found a lump on my forearm, and this Sifu treats many
cancer patients....this worries me

..."when I stop completely"... ? stop what completely, did he give you practices to do and while you were doing them you could feel the transmission but...I think here is the ambiguous part, what is stopping completely? Just stopping the practice for the session, or stopping for a few days because of uncertainty..?

I've noticed that when training with some of my teachers also, wonderful boost to training afterward, but one must keep practicing diligently in order to really obtain the benefit, otherwise if the energetic amplitude is not continued it is attenuated and absorbed.

mate, the "receiving" qi is a bit of a misnomer, and it isnt doing what you think it is doing.

Qi transference HAPPENS. It happens whenever you are around another human being, otherwise you couldnt recognize that there is a person there. IT isnt mystical. It is, in fact, normal.

Now, if one person is OUT OF BALANCE internally, the "doctor"'s balanced qi will move to balance the out of balance one. IT happens automatically when you are around a "real" healer. But what is NOT happening is a cure! It is a rebalancing of your energy. If you have habits that unbalance your energy, then it will revert back to what it was. It is YOUR energy or qi, not the "healer"'s.

The person gives you exercises or qigong so that you can maintain a semi-balanced state. If you dont do it, you won't stay balanced. I say semi-balanced because one must take responsibility for their own diet, thoughts, movement, etc. If they dont do them, or if they neglect to keep their thoughts, or go back to smoking and drinking and eating rubbish, there is no way it will stay.

good luck mate.

The other Sifu I was seeing, the sess went I like this.

I lie on the table, and he uses his hands kind of massage,
but not quite, he also uses positions his fingers or palms
etc.. Once, he gave so much Qi, I felt the upper torso
vibrate, I couldn't stand up, I felt drunk. He did something
so that I could stand up.

He showed to breathe out saying a strong "Haaaaaa" on exale,
and shaking my hands by my side. Both made me dizzy, and I tried
this for six months, made no difference. He told me to stop doing it.
This Sifu is into Martial Arts, Qi gong, Win Chun etc.. I think he was a
champion at bricks being broken on his body and head a while back.
Otherwise, I can't attend his classes, I am still too weak, and yes, I tried.
He does hand pushing and other stuff.

I asked his students about this, and one of them who practices
daily told me the same happens with her when generates Qi from
nature. She said she feels 'drunk"...

As for the Sifu I am seeing now, he showing me specific Shaolin moves to heal,
here is no martial arts, its all for healing and in the future, heal others. His style
is based on sounds, gentle moves, Standing Position, reciting mantras
and meditation, breathing.

I love practicing the little I know..

Acupuncture is a shot in the dark in the sense that not all doctors of TCM are the same. I went to one who thought it was ok to stick needles in me and walk away for 30 minutes. That was not a good one! LOL

mate, you really should post more than you have been. Of course it is an energy blockage (as is 100% of the cases treated by tcm!). Let's start getting more thorough and contribute. You are coming off as a Troll!

It sounds like he knows for what he is doing mostly, but having spent much time doing chi projections to heal - would say he maybe is jumping in before setting the intention. I have done this before, and it is easy to not get the mental focus perfect throughout the projecting session. Even just thinking 'wow, I'm sure feeling jet-lagged.' while transmitting his qi would likely cause you to feel jet-lagged. I have gone now as far as to create a talisman of healing intention for the session to keep things on point throughout. It is very complicated to describe the details to doing this as well as the qigong methods I use, but it wouldn't hurt for you to just flow with positive affirmations about upcoming chi use from sifu or yourself, then once you feel things will go right: maybe physically mark it on a paper with a checkmark or something along those lines. Good luck.
