I agree with josh - all of those motions mentioned do indeed make use of the psoas.

I think the WTBA has a lot of BS in it. So do many popular world religions, in otherwords faith by some in the system is not proof.

Shaw and Montaigue do not even understand the basic terms of CMA. Their fa-jing is silly and borderline ridiculous at times. I do train with some of their group (WTBA) and am not impressed by Erle's skill or knowledge. I resent that the video I linked to is associated with the WTBA by youtube.

I do like Erle, he is a nice man.

This is a reply to a discussion I'm having on a Ngo Cho Kun forum

I came across this style: http://www.futaichi.com/IKF2.html and found his demo on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_R1lAzkvFIE .

I wouldn't say that I entirely agree with what the website says but it explains the core ideas nicely.

"shake" should be translated better as "recoil" or "vibrate".

what kind of jin is it, or is it fake or made up or external?
Is it weak?

it looks like he is relying on the physics of turning his waist and the torque it generates, it does not look like he is sinking his chi and issueing power
