Opinion please. For Qigong Beginners - Order of study guide

Postby Dvivid » Thu Dec 08, 2011 12:29 pm

Hi,

I would like some feedback from you all, about this new feature on the site.

Is it helpful?

What would you change to improve it?

Do you still have questions after reading through it?

Qigong Order of Study. New "Start Here" button at the top of the website navigation on the right side of every page. http://ymaa.com/publishing/start-here/qigong

thanks.

Hi Dvivid,

Since I was one of those who asked for an order of study, I am just sharing my opinion here.

The content seems pretty clear to me but would add Taiji Qigong even if it is related to Taiji because it is a qigong in the same way White Crane qigong is.

The "start here" sub section in the right menu could be more apparent because it is so small that I think most people don't see it. It took me some time to realize it was there after you had announced its creation, I was looking for some more flashy button.

As long as you find value, then it is positive.
You do not want people forcing you or telling you what to think or how to think so listen to both sides and as an adult, make a choice based on your own informed decision!

It is a good setup :) Agree on the taiji qigong...I have the taiji ball qigong, it is an excellent addition but I can see how it overlaps between the taiji and qigong subjects. Good recommendations for those just getting their feet wet!

Hi Kevin,

Understanding Qigong DVD6 has it.
However, I find Ramel Rones' _SUNSET Taichi_ book (also published by YMAA) very good in explaining and setting up a detailed step by step practice.

Hope it helps.

Four gates is a step toward Martial Grand Circulation breathing.

This is taught on Understanding Qigong 6:
