I've been studying it for awhile now and would enjoy a discussion about it.
What are your thoughts on the trinity and the meaning?
It is said that those who imagine that Vishnu, Shiva and Brahma are separable, or that one is supreme above the others; do not understand the trinity at all. I find the symbolism and numerical meanings to be profound.
What makes Hinduism so difficult, is one should first understand the language of sanscrit better. I have no knowledge of sanscrit, but have been involved with hinduism for a long time. Me personally am I more of a Syncretist, which means for me littlebits of everything. Basically did I gather information that Angkor Wat could be about 10.000 years old, already was I interested in this type of genre. Now recently I found out that Angkor Wat depicts scenes of the Mahabharata and the Ramayana, years before have read translated versions of the
Ramayana, Puranas, the Vedas and Mahabharata for cultural anthropological reasons. For the research I did of ancient Egypt, did I have a hint that Hinduism might be all that. Basically do I think that there might be an Extraterrestrial Link between Hinduism, Greek Mythology, Meso America and Ancient Egypt,
the first Avatar of Vishnu is Matsya. Basically is there a comparison between Okeanos and Vishnu. Also people in Africa have somekind of statement that Half Man/Half Fish visited them during ancient times, the pictures used in Hinduism remind me of the Pleiades. So am thinking that Hinduism centers around the worship of Extraterrestrials from Orion and Taurus with Lightblue skin (possibly hybrids), but those ancient Hindu scriptures are very long and complicated so have only read little bits of them. So yes a lot of wisdom has come from the ancient sages, the whole meditation & yoga thing might be from the aliens.
