Cool, I love the Mahabharata and Hinduism.
I've been studying it for awhile now and would enjoy a discussion about it.

What are your thoughts on the trinity and the meaning?

It is said that those who imagine that Vishnu, Shiva and Brahma are separable, or that one is supreme above the others; do not understand the trinity at all. I find the symbolism and numerical meanings to be profound.

What makes Hinduism so difficult, is one should first understand the language of sanscrit better. I have no knowledge of sanscrit, but have been involved with hinduism for a long time. Me personally am I more of a Syncretist, which means for me littlebits of everything. Basically did I gather information that Angkor Wat could be about 10.000 years old, already was I interested in this type of genre. Now recently I found out that Angkor Wat depicts scenes of the Mahabharata and the Ramayana, years before have read translated versions of the Ramayana, Puranas, the Vedas and Mahabharata for cultural anthropological reasons. For the research I did of ancient Egypt, did I have a hint that Hinduism might be all that. Basically do I think that there might be an Extraterrestrial Link between Hinduism, Greek Mythology, Meso America and Ancient Egypt, the first Avatar of Vishnu is Matsya. Basically is there a comparison between Okeanos and Vishnu. Also people in Africa have somekind of statement that Half Man/Half Fish visited them during ancient times, the pictures used in Hinduism remind me of the Pleiades. So am thinking that Hinduism centers around the worship of Extraterrestrials from Orion and Taurus with Lightblue skin (possibly hybrids), but those ancient Hindu scriptures are very long and complicated so have only read little bits of them. So yes a lot of wisdom has come from the ancient sages, the whole meditation & yoga thing might be from the aliens.

Interesting.

My own theories and views are rather different than yours, but I would love to hear more about yours.

I do believe that Aliens may exist and have been viewed as gods, it is certainly plausible, but what is your basis for thinking this?

What do you make of Thunupa? (Andean figure)

And by any chance, are you autistic?

I think that Angor Wat is an ancient source of Hindu literature, what are your views?

My basis of thinking is derived from years of reading, looking at a broader perspective. Me personally am I inspired by mythology, for some reason do I believe that an alien civilization has lived here on planet earth, this is supported by archeological evidence.

Well Viracocha (Thunupa) might be the same person as Okeanos (Matsya) and Vishnu.

It would take too long to give an overview of my views along these lines so I'll just mention a little stuff.

I don't think that any aliens are involved.

As for Angor Watt, yes I think that there is some truth to this, but the old hindu tales speak of the entire world being covered by old kingdoms and of technology. I do believe that a technological civilization arose in the past and then was lost during cataclysmic event(s) which resulted in our human bottleneck about 60K years ago. Herodotus reports some very interesting claims out of Egypt that relate to this and the age of our species.

I don't think Thunupa was Viracocha.

Viracocha wields the thunderbolt, just like Zeus, just like Indra. Like them he is King of the Gods, this is more than archetype, these are all different versions of the same story, a very old story.

Celt stones, the nice ones not the old ones, are very curious evidence and appear to the the forerunner of the vajra. They are found on every single continent except for antartica so far. The words for them in African, Amercian, German, Indian and Asian languages all mean the same thing. Thunderbolt.

The feathered serpent sounds a lot like asiatic armor with scales and feathered headdress. This is a lot like old Korean armor, as well as Chinese armor. Both of these kingdoms (not totally separable in a historical light) also sent out expeditions in boats.

There is so much to this that there is not much to say except for the most interesting figure I can think of is Parashurama.

Hancock is an interesting author. I have enjoyed reading his books, though I don't always agree with some of his conclusions.

Good stuff.

Wikipedia states about the Mahabharata;
"The Mahabharata contains much philosophical and devotional material, such as a discussion of the four "goals of life" or purusharthas (12.161). The latter are enumerated as dharma (right action), artha (purpose), kama (pleasure), and moksha (liberation)."

So the concept of Dharma is derived from Angkor Watt.
