DVD: Mastering Krav Maga 6-DVD set by David Kahn

In the "Mastering Krav Maga 6-DVD video series", Israeli Krav Maga Association U.S. Chief Instructor David Kahn teaches essential techniques to defend against all manners of unarmed attack. These techniques are drawn from the yellow, orange, and green-belt levels of the Israeli krav maga curriculum (beginner to advanced).

This DVD series was originally produced for in-house student and instructor development. Due to popular demand, this learning material is now available to the public.

Many of these latest-evolution techniques have not been seen outside of Israel. This is the most up-to-date, authoritative and comprehensive unarmed krav maga instruction available.

Krav Maga translates to "contact combat" and it focuses on practical self defense techniques for real-world situations and extremely efficient counter-attacks.

David Kahn received his advanced blackbelt teaching certifications from Grandmaster Haim Gidon, 10th dan. David trains the public, celebrities and federal, state and municipal law enforcement agencies along with the U.S. military in the Israeli method. The U.S. military granted David permission to include select training clips.

This is one of the best DVD sets I've ever purchased. I have a black belt in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP) and a brown belt in judo. I am also a former Army Ranger and currently a Navy chaplain serving on a cruiser. I purchased this set to enhance the training of our VBSS team and it was worth every penny. The techniques are practical, effective, easy to learn, and perfect for the street or for boarding a pirate ship. The VBSS team loves to train and using the techniques in this series has only "upped their game."

When you try to learn a self defense system you want to keep it simple. Within a matter of few minutes I was able to not only repeat what I saw on the DVDs but understood why it worked. I have a very petite frame so I wanted to learn something that works for everyone....especially my size. There is a lot of information in this set but it seems like if I am able to do a few specific things, I should be able to hold my own if I need to. Two thumbs up for David Kahn and his crew.
