This workshop will demystify Qi Healing and open a new doorway to your experience of Qi. Through hands-on training, you will deepen your sensitivity to Qi and learn to control its movement within yourself and others. Whether you’re a martial artist, Qigong practitioner, or just curious about energy, you will receive practical techniques for deepening your Qigong understanding and practice.

SEMINAR/WORKSHOP PROGRAM


The Intro to Qi Healing workshop will cover basic healer techniques that you will be able to practice on yourself and others. The workshop will include:
  • Scanning for Qi blockages
  • Removing Qi blockages
  • Gathering environmental energy
  • Sending environmental energy into a partner

The Beginning Qigong Healers Seminar is a two-day event and will be offered at the Cortiva Institute in Watertown, MA directly following this introductory workshop at YMAA Boston. The Cortiva workshop will be on Saturday and Sunday, October 2nd-3rd. Those who attend this intro seminar at YMAA will receive a bonus DVD ($40 value) if they choose to enroll in the weekend seminar at Cortiva.

WHO'S TEACHING?

Certified YMAA Qigong Instructor and Certified Qigong Therapist, Lisa B. O’Shea will be offering this workshop. She began her path as a healer with certification in Reiki and Hypnotherapy in 1988. These modalities were added to when she began studying Qigong and Tai Chi in 1994 and became a Certified Qigong Therapist through the Chinese Healing Arts Center with Master T.K. Shih. Lisa began studying with Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming in Boston in 1997 and later became the first student to received a full YMAA Instructor-level certification in Qigong, YMAA. In 1998 she created the Qigong Institute of Rochester, where she offers a variety of classes in Qigong, Tai Chi, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nutrition, Meditation, Certification in Qigong Therapy, and individual Qi Healing sessions. Most recently, she received Approved Provider Status to offer Continuing Education Hours for Licensed Massage Therapist through NCBTMB (#451188-09). WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Everybody is welcome to attend. No previous experience is necessary. This seminar will benefit:
  • Anyone interested in deepening their personal experience of sensing and moving energy.
  • Martial artists interested in increasing the sensitivity to their opponents Qi and learning how to emit Qi.
  • Any health care practitioners who would like to add on to their current modalities of healing.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

No materials are required for this workshop. Street shoes are not permitted on the training floor. You can wear indoor shoes unless you prefer being barefoot or in socks.

TRAVELING TO BOSTON

YMAA Boston is located approximately 20 minutes South of downtown Boston. If you are traveling by car please visit YMAA Boston webpage for detailed driving instructions.

Free on-street parking is available on weekends, and there are several paid lots nearby.

A good alternative is to use the MBTA subway transportation system. YMAA Boston is about a 3-minute walk from the Forest Hill Orange Line station. Visit MBTA website for more information.

If you are flying to Boston, you can also easily access the MBTA subway system. After arriving to Boston’s Logan Airport take the free airport shuttle bus (Route #22, #33 or #55) to the MBTA “Airport” station. Then take the inbound Blue Line train to “State” station. At “State” station, board the Orange line outbound train to the “Forest Hills” station, the last stop. Exit the “Forest Hills” station, go upstairs, and proceed straight through the exit towards Hyde Park Ave. Once outside, turn right to proceed downstairs. Cross the street and walk 2 blocks right to YMAA Boston.
