QIGONG LEVEL 3 - HARD QIGONG

Qigong for Energizing and Strengthening the Body
YMAA Boston, Boston, MA - February 25th-26th, 2012, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Hard Qigong emphasizes the Yang side of Qi training. Many who practice it experience a higher degree of energy. It is very beneficial for martial artists in need of a rapid way of energizing themselves. It is also great for those in need of conditioning and improving a weak or degenerating physical body. In this seminar, Da Mo's Muscle/Tendon Changing and White Crane Hard Qigong will be discussed and practiced.

SEMINAR/WORKSHOP PROGRAM

The seminar will be composed of two parts: a lecture session and a practice session.

PART A - Lecture
  1. Differences between Hard Qigong and Soft Qigong
  2. Yi Jin Jing Theory
  3. Yin and Yang Theory
  4. Yin and Yang Sounds
  5. Breathing, Qi, and Martial Arts
  6. Precautions for Hard Qigong Training

PART B – Practice
Shaolin Da Mo Muscle/Tendon Changing Qigong (Yi Jin Jing).
The Yi Jin Jing martial Qigong training sets created by Da Mo fifteen hundred years ago will be taught. These sets have been commonly used by external martial artists in China to strengthen their Qi and physical bodies. In this seminar, the fist/palm sets will be practiced and the concept of Iron Shirt Training will be discussed.

White Crane Hard Qigong
Crane Qigong was originated from the Crane Martial style. The original purpose of Crane Qigong was to train the foundation of Jing (Crane Power). Later it was discovered that it was also beneficial in improving health and strengthening the body.

Dr. Yang, Jwing Ming will conduct the lecture and demonstrate the exercises of the Hard Qigong Level 3 Seminar.
