YMAA California Camp IV - August 2006

This is the video of the last YMAA California Camp held in August 2006. Master Yang, Jwing-Ming directed the training working camp, focusing on sword training (solo form and two-person drills) and power generation (cutting tree branches). Two person reaction drills were also practiced, emphasizing on correct hand forms, distance and stepping. After training for 6 hours, there were also 5 hours of hard work cleaning the land and digging holes for solar panel installation. During the 15 days, many interesting events happened with intense and fiery human interaction. Hard work and hard training were compensated with good food, good instruction and bonding friendships. Participants came from several YMAA schools around the world: from France, Portugal, Belgium, Switzerland and, of course, the US. It was a fun time, a tough time, a learning experience, but most of all good times. No matter how one tries, no video or pictures will ever be able to fully show the magic and the beauty of the land, nor the touching and heartfelt bonds created among those who were there to experience those moments.
