Loneliness and boredom turn out to be what Andrew finds working for the embassy—until he meets Alexandr, a young Russian actor. They strike up a friendship based on mutual interests which leads to a deeper relationship than Andrew ever imagined.

However, Alexandr has a terrible secret he must share with Andrew, that could end not only their friendship but also their lives. life you are living, a reflection of your true self? Do you sometimes see glimpses of the reality underneath the scene you are living, like an actor playing a role in a story that was written for you?
